DESCRIPTION:The Labrador Winter Games are planning to visit Labrador communities to bring the ‘Torch’ that will be used to light the cauldron flame at the Opening Ceremony on March 8th\, 2026! \nThe purpose of the Community Torch Relay is to connect the Games with the wider Labrador region\, ensuring that all communities feel included in this special event. It creates an opportunity for residents to actively participate in the excitement of the Games\, even if they cannot attend the events in person. \nThe Community Torch Relay is more than a ceremonial lead-up to the Labrador Winter Games—it is a unifying celebration that brings together the people of Labrador in anticipation of the Games. By carrying the flame across our vast region\, the relay symbolizes the values of community\, resilience\, and shared heritage.
