June 19 & 26, 2020: Update on Moving to Alert Level 2

We are continuing to work on preparing facilities for our community to safely resume some recreational activities under the Provincial Alert Level 2. We are hopeful to begin re-opening some of these areas next week such as the Playground, Softball Field, and Soccer Field. Much work has been done with some installation of equipment left to do.

We will have another update early next week with expected opening dates for some recreational areas and how we are progressing with Summer Program, Weight Room, Gymnasium, and Swimming Pool.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare for safe operations of our recreation facilities.

June 19, 2020 – Moving to Alert Level 2

As our province is getting ready to move into an Alert Level 2, we are also preparing our way forward in re-opening some of our community facilities and social activities under provincial guidelines. We are carefully, but diligently, planning to resume the following activities:

Weight Room | Swimming Pool | Summer Program | Soccer & Softball Field |Playgrounds

Canada Day activities will not be going ahead, but we will celebrate Canada’s birthday with our annual fireworks display on July 1, 2020. Details will be announced soon.

We are still in the planning stages with work left to do, but are hoping to have these areas available for activity in the coming weeks. Public and community safety is our number one priority. We need to ensure we are re-opening in ways that follow government’s direction and have all protocols and procedures in place to re-open safely and successfully.

As our plans become finalized and dates of re-opening are confirmed, we will notify you with all the details you need to safely participate in these activities once again. *Please note, while playgrounds and field sport areas open in an Alert Level 2 on Thursday, June 25, these areas will not open in our community until we have officially announced their re-opening.

We recognize that our community is excited and looking forward to resuming some of these activities. We thank you for your patience and understanding as you wait for our updates.

Be well & keep safe.
