Wishing students a great school year!

Getting back into the “school groove” will not be easy for everyone. For some children and teens it’s been two months of sleeping-in, relaxing, and watching those favorite shows that air during school hours. While that will all soon change until next summer, it’s a good idea to begin your school routine before school begins.

Here are some tips:

  • Start adjusting your sleep routine before school actually begins. Try going to sleep and waking up a littler earlier each day for about a week before school starts.
  • If you haven’t curled up with a great novel this summer begin a little reading now. It might help ease you back into a reading and studying routine.
  • Start organizing and planning for your school year. Decide on some goals you would like to reach and when you want to reach them. Write them down and post them in your bedroom. Seeing these everyday (especially before school begins) might just give you the extra motivation you need to get back into the “school groove”.
