Thursday, Sept. 30, is the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, a day for us to remember and honour those lost and those who survived
residential schools, along with their families and communities. To mark this day, we will be lowering our community flags at half-mast.

September 30 is also Orange Shirt Day, founded in 2013, when survivor Phyllis Webstad who shared her story of having her shiny new orange
shirt taken on her first day a residential school. We invite community members to wear orange this Thursday as one way to honour survivors and
those lost to the residential school system.
