F&S Safety Notice
PARKING IN FIRE LANES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
In the event of an emergency, swift and unobstructed access to designated emergency vehicle zones is critical for our Emergency Response Team.
We are noticing an increase of unauthorized parking in designated emergency zones across our community, especially at Apartment Buildings and the Donald Gordon Centre.
RESTRICTING ACCESS COULD PUT OTHERS IN DANGER.
Emergencies can happen in an instant, and time is of the essence in every emergency. Even with the intent of parking for a short period could impede emergency response times.
Apartment Building Tenants & Visitors
Please refrain from parking in the NO PARKING zones in front of building entrances. These buildings are homes to our friends and neighbours. Whether it’s responding to a fire or medical emergency, the inability for responders to gain access could delay critical response times.
Donald Gordon Centre Patrons
This is a widely used public building, and quick, unobstructed access to emergency lanes is critical to our ability to respond—whether it’s a fire or medical emergency. Please consider how parking here could impact the timing of an emergency response.
Parking in emergency zones is prohibited by law and could result in a traffic violation.
Thank you for your cooperation.
