Update 3 (12:30 am – May 29)
The emergency telephone lines at Fire & Security are currently out of service. For fire, ambulance, and other emergencies please call 709.735.0092.
Update 2 (10:27 pm)
Residents of Churchill Falls will experience a brief power interruption over the next couple of hours. This interruption is to switch the town’s power distribution to another feeder due to a damaged pole line. This is a preventative measure to ensure the damaged pole is taken out of service.
Forest Fire Update: There have been two Water Bombers conducting fire suppression this evening along with continued efforts from our helicopter resources. There are ground crews enroute to begin working hotspots when it is safe to do so.

Update 1 (7:33 pm)
As our community is aware, there is a forest fire located on the highway near Churchill Falls. Our helicopter resources are currently conducting suppression efforts. There is also a Water Bomber enroute from Goose Bay to assist with the efforts.
We understand that this situation is feeling very familiar to our community. We will keep you informed and updated as information becomes available.
